This is now Lydia's blog

Lydia got a digital camera for Christmas and asked to start her own blog. Since I hardly use this (Facebook is easier) I decided to let her take over.

Lydia's first day of gymnastics

The city offers a 5 week course for $35. We thought it would be a good way for Lydia to try it and see if she likes it.
I think the tumbling was her favorite part. It is amazing to me how these kids have no fear. They try, they fall, they get back up and try again.
You can't use a flash and most of the "events" are far from the spectator area, so all the pics are kind of grainy.
She loved the big balance beam.
She calls this her swing hammock.
I can't believe I have a daughter with such beautiful golden hair.

I must admit, I am quite proud of my scarecrow people this year. They were pretty easy to make and I think they are pretty well put together (no worries about pumpkin heads rotting).

Lydia's First Day of first grade

I have to admit, it was nice and quiet here yesterday without Lydia. Today is her first long day, so hopefully it will go well. She conked out as soon as she went to bed last night. Tired girl!
